Joel Rikir

Joël started his career at the Bank of New York.

In 1999, he joins the SRIB Group (Venture Capital) as Investment Manager in charge of investment projects and portfolio management. For more than 5 years, he coached numerous SME’s on their scale-up projects.

In 2005, Joël decided to leverage on his experience and set up his own company, specialising in financial consulting, focusing on fund raising, IPO’s and additional corporate finance missions. In addition, he has been acting as CFO in various SME’s.

In 2008, Joël joins an M&A consulting firm as an Associate Partner in charge of driving M&A projects.

In 2016, he partners up with Colette Plasman to create E-Spring Capital, a new breed of M&A company focusing on personal service and innovative solutions.

Joël holds a Master Degree from the UCL in Business, Social and Political Sciences (1996) as well as in Finance Management (ISC Saint Louis – ICHEC Group, 1998).

Johan Wellens

In 1998, Johan joins The Nielsen Company as Financial Analyst (Belgian subsidiary) and moved the European headquarter end 1999 to become European BP& A Manager. In 2001, Johan decided to provide CFO Services and Finance Consulting to various SME’s companies, which is still his current and main activity.

Johan holds a Master Degree from the Solvay Business and Management School of Brussels (ULB-SBM – 1996) as well as a post-graduate diploma from the Belgian Association of Financial Analysts (1999) and a post-graduate diploma from the Executive Programme en Immobilier from the Solvay Business and Management School of Brussels (2011).

François Mathieu

François started as an intern in an investment platform dedicated to raising funds for start-ups and scale-ups. He developed a strong interest in entrepreneurship.

He then began his professional career in asset management in 2020 at BNP Paris Asset Management where he gained knowledge of the financial market environment with a strong aptitude for financial analysis.

In 2022, he joins the E-Spring team to continue exploring the world of entrepreneurship and further develop his skills in corporate finance. 

François studied International Business and Economics at Maastricht University as a bachelor. He then obtained a double degree in Corporate Finance and Banking at EDHEC Business School and in Strategic Corporate Finance at Maastricht University. Apart from his academic career, he also worked as a private tutor and academic tutor where he assisted in the Finance course.
